Bride and Groom get showered with confetti after getting married at Leatherhead Register Office

As a documentary wedding photographer, I am privileged to be able to capture the raw emotions and special moments that make each wedding unique. Florence and Nick's summer wedding was no exception. The day began at the Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel, where the bride and her bridesmaids got ready for the big day ahead. The hotel provided a perfect backdrop for capturing some stunning pre-wedding shots.

Florence looked stunning in her wedding dress, and the excitement and anticipation were palpable as we captured some candid moments of her getting ready. The emotions are the Bridesmaids and the Mother of the Bride were clear to see, so there was plenty of laughter and happy tears to capture. As a documentary photographer, I like to work in a relaxed and unobtrusive manner, blending into the background as much as possible. This approach allows me to capture the true essence of the day and the personalities of the bride and groom.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Leatherhead Register Office in Surrey, a beautiful and intimate venue that provided a perfect setting for the couple to exchange their vows. As the bride walked down the aisle, I was able to capture the raw emotion on Nick's face as he saw his bride for the first time. It's these moments that make wedding photography such a privilege, and it's an honor to be able to document them for the couple to look back on for years to come.

After the ceremony, we made our way to the Bride's mother's garden, where a marquee had been erected for the wedding reception. As a documentary photographer, I love capturing the natural moments that happen throughout the day, and the reception provided plenty of opportunities for this. From the guests chatting and enjoying drinks to the speeches and cutting of the cake, there were plenty of candid moments that I was able to capture.

As the evening drew to a close, I captured some beautiful shots of the couple dancing under the stars, with the marquee providing a perfect backdrop. It was a beautiful end to a beautiful day, and as a documentary wedding photographer, I was honored to be able to capture it all.

Florence and Nick's summer wedding was a beautiful and natural celebration of their love, and it was a privilege to be able to document it all as a documentary photographer. From the preparations at the hotel to the intimate ceremony and the relaxed reception, there were plenty of opportunities to capture the raw emotions and natural moments that make each wedding unique. I hope that these photos will provide the couple with memories that they can treasure for years to come.
