Brighton College Wedding Photography

A black and white photo of a bride and groom having confetti thrown at them at the Chapel at Brighton college.

At the end of my day photographing this wedding at Brighton College, I gave both Khanh and Jae a big hug, it was that type of day where I felt like I was photographing a friends wedding rather than someone who had hired me. When photographing a wedding I want to do the best job I possibly can, so I work tirelessly throughout the day to capture all those little moments that the Bride & Groom might miss as they are so busy with enjoying their day. A few days ago I got the following message from Khanh which makes all the hard work I put in worthwhile

"Wow! thank you so much for the photos! They are absolutely amazing! You captured the day very well and we are soooo happy & very grateful!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

It's wonderful to be able to look back at the photos you took as there were so many magical moments that you managed to capture, that we not see on the day, as we were too busy"

Brighton College Chapel Wedding Photography

Founded in 1845 by William Aldwin Soames, Brighton College was the very first Victorian public school to be founded in the county of Sussex. The architect Soames originally planned to use Brighton Pavilion, but after Queen Victoria slapped that idea down, he built the school in what was then the suburb of Kemptown.

The chapel itself was also built by Soames, but I believe it wasn’t built until 1859. Being able to get married in such a building with such a sense of history is an incredible backdrop for your wedding day, and for a photographer is a dream come true. If you would like to take a look at a selection of stills below from the Brighton College Wedding, please let me know what you think in the comments section. Here is what Khanh & Jae thought of their photos

“We would totally recommend MBH Wedding Photography for your special day! He took amazing photographs on our Wedding Day, and was very friendly, approachable and best of all...discreet. He was able to capture wonderful memories for us and has a real eye for detail! What's best is that he delivered the photos to us in good time and I was able to show them off to all of our family and friends! Thanks Matthew...you ROCK!”

Congratulations to Khanh & Jae!!
