Wadhurst Castle Wedding Photography

Wadhurst Castle is a stunning wedding venue set in the East Sussex countryside. Maddy and Nick got married here in August of 2017 and it was a fantastic day to be a part of.

Wadhurst Castle has a lot going for it as a wedding venue. As a 19th century, grade II listed building the venue gives a real sense of grandeur to the occasion, and its elevated position gives stunning views to the south. The room where Maddy and her bridesmaids got ready for the day was flooded with natural light as the room was south facing, which allowed me to get a great collection of Bridal prep shots. There is nothing worse than having a beautiful bride but next to no light to actually photograph them in!

Maddy and Nick got married in the walled garden within the grounds of Wadhurst Castle, and its another massive plus point for this venue. It manages to combine the sense of being in the open, yet with a sense of seclusion and intimacy that not many venues can provide. The ceremony was beautiful.

The rest of the day was spent enjoying drinks and games in the grounds of Wadhurst Castle. As well as the panoramic sky to the South, there were lots of more intimate spaces for Maddy & Nicks's couple photography. In case you haven't noticed, I really enjoyed photographing at this venue with the help of the fantastic staff!
